Don’t get me wrong, I like paved roads, public libraries, access to education and infrastructure. I also acknowledge that such luxuries are a direct result of governance and taxation. But sometimes Canadian legislation is a bit uptight in the Fun Department.
Did you know that while Canadians are world renown for politeness, there is an impression among some that we are a little dumb? Truth. I’ve hear this circulating a few times now.
It’s almost as if when you flashpack, backpack or travel for an extended period of time, you have a license to be the Anti-Tourist. There’s no pressure to run around like mad and see all of the necessary attractions. In my opinion, this is part of the reason that we were cavelier about some of the sights we missed.
